During festivals, we have food trucks and food available. Four Grand Wine & Cidery is a New York State farm winery and is pat of Abbott Farms in Baldwinsville. We specialize in small batch hard ciders made from apples and fruit grown on site. Hops provide a unique character to many styles of craft beverages. We dry-hop our ciders to emphasize the many aromas and flavors that hops provide while avoiding the bittering qualities. We invite you to experience the different tastes of pine, citrus, tropical and more as we have fun creating new hopped ciders. Abbott Farms History: Nancy Abbott hand-picked Windsor for her husband — in the third grade! He stole the erasers off her pencils; she smiled; and the rest is history. She graduated from Cornell with a Home Economics degree in 1956. She taught school locally for a few years, then opened a roadside stand to sell Abbott apples and potatoes. She started the first school tours on the farm and continues in them to this day. She is our master gardener and groundskeeping designer. And expert cook, and babysitter, and apple-grader, and proofreader, and cheerleader, etc etc etc. Warren is their son and the current CEO, CFO, and all-around techhead, who leads the farm. He graduated from Purdue University in 1987 with a BS in Agricultural Economics burning a hole in his pocket. Warren’s vision was for a profitable grain crop farm joined with a fall U-picking operation that would engage the residential population in Greater Baldwinsville. Over time, his vision for the farm has evolved into a full-season U-pick and entertainment destination for Central New Yorkers. We’re glad to be members of the Pride of New York, which supports farm businesses, foodservice and retail outlets in the promotion and marketing of New York State products. New York’s largest industry is agriculture, and we’re proud both to produce fine fruits and vegetables and sell the produce of our fellow NY farmers in our Country Store.
