What should I do to get started with Harvest Hosts?

Here's a brief overview of the Program and Host Requirements. 1) The program offers members 1 free night of dry camping in exchange for a suggested $30+ purchase at the host location. 2) Hosts provide a secure overnight parking space without requiring hookups. 3) If available, Hosts may charge members a reasonable rate for hookups. 4) Additional nights can be offered for a fee, managed off-platform to avoid overbooking, and won't be recorded on the Host's calendar.

How can users upgrade their plan after they have redeemed their gift card?

Accepted Answer

You can upgrade your membership from within your member dashboard. Click on the button at the top right of the website with your photo and name and choose Membership from the drop-down menu. You can review your current Membership Details just below your Membership Card.  Click the Change Plan button below the description. You will see your current plan highlighted at the top of the page with all of your change options below it.  Review your options and click the green Upgrade button for the plan that works best for you. The window that pops up will describe the new plan you have chosen with a block to let you know what charges you will incur immediately and what your renewal price will be.  Click the Upgrade Now button to finish your upgrade.

How much should I spend at a Host location?

Since there are no camping fees for Harvest Hosts, we ask that you support your Host to show your appreciation for their hospitality. When considering how much to spend at a Host, please consider the amount of money you saved on campground fees. We suggest spending a minimum of $30 in support of your Host. Hopefully, these are products you are already using. You can purchase produce at the farm, wine at the vineyard, have dinner at a brewery, or visit a museum. Perhaps you can purchase gifts for friends and family along your route. Boondockers Welcome Hosts are personal residences and do not have products to purchase. The only costs associated with these Hosts are for optional hookups that you might use.

How to Redeem Your Gift Code for New Members

1. Create Your Account

To redeem your gift code, you will first need to create an account for the membership to be applied to. This is as easy as entering your name, contact information, and rig size.

2. Enter Gift Code

Copy and paste the gift code number into the 'Discount or Gift Code' box at check out ensuring there are no spaces before or after the code. Please remember that gift codes are case-sensitive.
