About
Tarandowah Golfers Club is "Pure Golf" rooted in the history and traditions of the game.
It is wind swept and has undulating fairways and greens protected by deep, sod-faced bunkers and bordered by wispy fescue grasses. Pure golf plays dry and fast and all the trouble is on the ground between the golfer and the hole. "Pure Golf" requires courage, skill and strategy.
Tarandowah's course designer, Dr. Martin Hawtree is a third generation English golf course architect in probably the longest serving golf design office in the world. His grandfather, Frederick G. Hawtree, began the business in 1912, associating himself with J.H. Taylor, 4-time British Open winner.
Hawtree has been consulted on some of the major links courses in the UK and Ireland: Lahinch, Royal Dublin, Portmarnock, and Royal Birkdale - an Open Championship links course that all three generations of Hawtree have worked on. Martin has worked a great deal in Scotland and was consulted by the R&A over alterations at Carnoustie for the 2007 Open Championship.

#3 - Best New Golf Course in Canada, ScoreGolf Magazine & Golf Digest 2008
Best New Golf Course in Ontario, Ontario Golf Magazine & Fairways Magazine 2008Tarandowah Golfers Club has a unique layout that closely resembles traditional Scottish links golf courses. There are undulating greens and sloped fairways that are made up of bentgrass and wispy fescue. Although there are no water hazards, Tarandowah Golfers Club boasts more than 100 deep, sod-faced bunkers that prove to be just as challenging if not more. Strong winds blow through the golf course, a factor that will affect your game if not careful. Tarandowah Golfers Club has several tricky uphill par 4s, but its longest and one of its more challenging holes is the par-5 14th, which stretches to 588 yards.
High Season Greens Fee is $59 and Low Season Greens Fee is $40. Cart Fee is $17 for 18 holes
