Welcome to a little bit of paradise in the beautiful Catskill Mountains. Blackhead Mountain Lodge & Country Club has been in the Maassmann Family since 1967. Originally it was a summer resort open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The Catskill Mountains were the place to vacation at that time. Through the years we added new buildings and expanded our season. A major change and improvement took place in 1990. We finished construction of, and opened a 9 hole golf course. A second 9 holes were added in 1999. Today we proudly operate one of the most spectacular golf courses in New York State. The par 72 challenging layout is carved into the side of the Blackhead Mountain Range. It offers you some of the most spectacular views imaginable. Come and enjoy the warm and friendly hospitality that has been a Maassmann trade mark for over 40 years.The golf course was designed by USGA architect Nicholas Psiahas. The original 9 holes were opened in 1990. A second 9 holes were added in 1999. It is by far one of the most outstanding 18 hole, par 72 championship courses in the Northeast. This exceptional layout was carved into the natural terrain of the beautiful & majestic Blackhead Mountains of the Northern Catskills. It offers not only breathtaking scenery, but a tremendous challenge as well. There are water hazards, bunkers, doglegs and two-tier greens. Strategical shot placement will aid you on some of the narrow, tree-lined fairways. The breath taking views and serene atmosphere make this golf course very special. And, because of the extreme amount of TLC that is placed into the maintenance of this course by USGA Superintendent Edward Maassmann & his staff, it has proudly established the reputation of always being beautifully manicured and in great condition.
