The Graeagle area, and the Plumas Pines Golf Resort, provide an idyllic setting for a vacation, golf outing, or business retreat. The area is known for its unspoiled forests, the middle fork of the Feather River, thousands of miles of national forest, pristine lakes, and the rugged mountain vistas. More than a golf destination, it offers hiking, fishing, camping, and sightseeing. Myriad antique shops may be found in the surrounding towns. The Graeagle area has joined the list of the top 50 destination golf areas in the United States with Plumas Pines Golf Resort chosen by Golf Digest as a Place to Play from 1998 to 2007. The picturesque, and challenging, Plumas Pines Golf Resort features a championship, par 72, course that weaves among the pines, brings water into play on several holes, and is notable for the pristine care reflected in the condition of tees, fairways, and greens. Because it is fully accessible by cart paths, it tends to open earlier in the season, and stays open later in the season. Designed by Homer Flint in 1980, it has all of the qualities of a mature course, while constant improvements maintain its challenging character. The play all day rate is $60 per player including a cart. The Golf & Dinner Special -Any time 7 days a week - is $85 per player including 18 holes with cart and dinner at "Longboards" Bar & Grill (dinner includes soup or salad, entree, tax, and tip with beverage not included).
