What is your favorite part about being a Host on our network?
The friendly people who come to visit our farm. The members are very generous with their purchases.
What are some of your favorite stories (funny or heartwarming) with Harvest Hosts Members?
Most of the stories start with: I remember when...My grandparent's had a farm and we visited or when I was a child I lived on a farm. Then they revert back to the happy memories when they are on our farm and then they want to bring their children or grandchildren here. I love helping people connect with those favorite childhood memories.
Is there anything else you would like to share about your experience or say to Members?
The members also love the peace and quiet here on the farm. No traffic noise—just birds, cows, and roosters.
Thank you to Lynn Gillespie, Owner of The Living Farm, for interviewing with us!
Member Review from Smarreel:
"This was our first HH stay and we didn't know what to expect. It remains our favorite stay…although we’ve had some great experiences since then. Lynn came out to greet us upon our arrival and invited us to feed the baby lambs. Who could say no to that! The five generation family farm produces enough food to provide CSA shares for many families in the North Fork Valley."
